This week we continue our Pathfinder improvement streak, this time with a custom fields upgrade, and a significant improvement of the movement bonuses.
The blog post of this week touches on a subject that is a foundation of roleplay: Separating IC and OOC
Pathfinder
- Simplified and explained the way custom fields are handled in the game system configuration and the sheet.
- Custom fields are now configured with a type of data they contain: they can be a text field, an integer field, or a choice field. This helps to make house rules more expressible, especially given that:
- Choice type custom fields can have associated bonuses for each choice. This allows several types of house rules and adjustments to the normal character creation process to be expressed directly in the game system configuration.
- The default rod and staff weights have been fixed for easier data entry. This eases the addition of rod and staff-like items.
- The movement bonuses have been split into base movement and bonus movement. This improves all movement-granting rules, especially the custom races with additional movement modes, because players of those races no longer have to enable those movement modes by hand.
- Several clarifications of descriptive texts. These help to make the sheet and configuration a little more self-explanatory, which in turn helps everyone to get things done.
Fixed Bugs
- Fixed a bug in the Pathfinder character sheet where ACP was incorrectly added as a bonus if the value was greater than zero. This has been fixed, the "Armour Check Penalty"-bonus no longer occurs.
- Fixed a bug that caused mundane items on the Pathfinder sheet to not give their bonuses properly. This has been fixed, and all items that should provide bonuses do so once again.
- Fixed a visual bug on the Pathfinder character sheet that caused the languages section to look weird if no entries or empty entries were listed on the sheet.
- Fixed a bug in the Pathfinder game system configuration update code that caused certain updates on magic items to not register character sheets as outdated.
