This week we further improved the Pathfinder system, based on tweaks from last week and additional work on the bonus system. We've also fixed a bug of some significance in the chat initiative tracker. More on that in next week's blog post.

This week's blog post is about playing Simple Characters, and how they can shine in your games!

Pathfinder

• The game system configuration has been split up and completely reorganized. This makes the configuration easier to use and builds on the technical changes to the game system configuration from last week.

• Added a base item field to rod, staff, ring, and wondrous items on the character sheet to allow them to go by a different name and still use base bonuses.

• If the game system configuration is changed, character sheets are now checked for outdated magic item configurations. If the sheet is affected is is marked as outdated.

• Fixed an issue where multi-item magic items (like Ring of Friend Shield) were inconsistently priced.

Pathfinder: Languages

• Added base and bonus language entries to races.
  • Base racial languages are now added to character sheets automatically, based on the configured languages.

• Languages on character sheets are now automatically counted and language slots are assigned. This makes checking character sheets faster and simpler. To help with this:
  • sheets now shows what bonus languages you have,
  • sheets verify the correct number of languages is selected,
  • sheets verify that you have the correct number of bonus languages.

• Bonuses from feats, traits, etc., can now grant free language slots, allowing you to pick an additional languages of your choice.

• Bonuses can now grant specific languages, granting the character a specific additional language.

• Bonuses can now grant bonus languages, adding an extra entry to the list of selectable bonus languages.

Visuals & Layout

• Updated the 'No Messages' and 'New Messages' icons shown in the top bar (near your name and the logout button). This helps bring all icons together in a single icon style, which improves visual cohesion.

Fixed Bugs

• (Community report) Fixed a layout bug in the chat initiative tracker that caused the initiative tokens to be jumbled for players using Chrome as their browser. This has been fixed, the initiative tokens are now displayed in orderly rows as intended.

• (Community report) Fixed a bug in chat that caused the Pathfinder initiative tracker to ignore one or more rolled initiatives while everyone is rolling for initiative. This has been fixed and each rolled initiative should now be taken into account.

• Fixed a bug that caused some classes to get zeroth level spells even though those were previously disabled. This has been fixed.
