This week was filled with designing and working on the pathfinder initiative tracker for the chat, as well as some serious work on the help pages. More on this will follow next week!
This week's blog post elaborates on Initiative Tracking Trickery.
Help Pages
- Upgraded the help page infrastructure to more easily support a large library of help pages, which also includes support for help categories for better navigation.
- Added help pages covering the forum for users, moderators, and operators. This makes it easier to discover how to do things, as well as providing a fallback to point new users to when explanations are needed.
Forum
- Adjusted the forum management interface to match the edit forum interface more closely. This makes editing forums via the management interface a little smoother, since things are roughly in the same place.
- Added name checks to forum management, giving you some early feedback on whether a name is avialable for the forum you are updating or creating. (Note that this feedback does not take into account other renames, so renaming A and B to "B" and "A" will tell you that those names are in use.)
Fixed Bugs
- (Community Report) Fixed a serious bug that caused the spellcasting notes to disappear after editing a character sheet. This has been fixed, and your notes will now correctly be preserved. This bug has been fixed mid-week.
- Fixed a bug that prevented a character sheet from being added to an existing character, if that character never had a character sheet before. This has been fixed, and character sheets can now be added to all characters again.
- Fixed a bug that caused the new
[time]
notation to not work in private messages. This has been fixed, and all private messages now also support the time notations to help you plan your campaigns.
- Fixed a bug that caused the formatted text preview panes of private messages and the bug report page to always be visisble next to the actual text input. This has been fixed, and the preview pane now only shows when you click the a preview button.
