This week we have polished the spellcasting/manifesting support for the Pathfinder system, and put some serious thought into how to better support forum and chat campaigns with lots of NPCs.
This week's blog post Character Categories elaborates on the NPC rework.
Masks (Chat and Forum)
- We have reworked the way NPC masks are handled, see this week's blogpost for details.
- The 'Non-player Character' tag special ability has been given an extra field 'Relevance' to keep track of the relevance of the NPC.
- The default
NPC
tag now defaults to being used for Background NPCs, the newRecurring NPC
tag is used for Recurring NPCs.- A Background NPC is an NPC that is available to storytellers, but not necessarily always relevant. They are available as custom mask preset.
- A Recurring NPC is an NPC that is often used by storytellers. They are available is a direct selection in the masks dropdown in chat and forum.
- The (new custom mask) option now supports auto-complete on the Title field for mask presets. Currently your mask presets consist of all Background NPCs you are a player of.
Pathfinder
- (Community Suggestion) Added Close, Medium, and Long range to spellcasting/manifesting block on character sheet. The three ranges are automatically calculated.
- Adjusted the layout of the spellcasting/manifesting blocks to fit in the new ranges data.
- Made the configuration's spell lists collapsable, to keep down the length of the spell list tab.
Fixed Bugs
- (Community report) Fixed a bug that caused the configuration cogwheel to disappear when the campaign's tagline is longer than the header width. This has been fixed, and you should now be able to reach your configuration again.
- Fixed bug on the pathfinder character sheet that produced a warning for having both an armour and a shield. This is perfectly fine, and a warning is no longer produced.
- Fixed a bug that caused the
enter
key not to move the focus to the next field in certain lists. This has been fixed, and data entry is now a bit smoother in those places.
- Fixed a bug that prevented certain input elements from correctly being disabled in several situations. This has been fixed, and inputs that should be disabled now are.
