This week we continued our code cleanup with the intent to wrap it up. And wrap it up we did. With the code cleanup done we can focus on new and exciting features and improvements in the coming weeks.
This week's blog post is about memorable NPCs and how to feature them in traveling adventures: Many and Few NPCs.
Friendliness
- Added a better 404 page for when you are in your campaign. This prevents you from suddenly being "navigated out" of your campaign when something goes wrong, which helps to keep you on track even when you accidentally end up on a page that cannot exist.
Other
- Improved the error page you get when you try to get the difference between two wiki page versions and the difference cannot be determine for some reason. This error only occurs when you are building a difference URL by hand to compare a version to some other non-current version.
- Improved the error page you get when you navigate to a location that is not served at all. This can happen when player copy-paste a URL from somewhere and don't get the whole URL, or when you quickly type in something and mistype something.
Bugs
- Fixed a bug that theoretically allowed someone to move a thread to a forum that they could read, but not post in. This has been fixed now, and you can no longer "shuffle" threads into read-only forums.
- Fixed a bug that theoretically allowed someone to read a post that was hidden from them, should they know the post's identifier. This has been fixed, and you can no longer quote from posts that you cannot read.
