This week work continued on D20 system support. We also added a few quality of life features, such as a slightly different way to write links, and quality of life improvement for the wanted pages overview.
This week's blog post gives insight into the D20 support.
Links
- Links of the form
[[setting>Pagename]]
are now written with a/
instead of a>
so it becomes[[setting/Pagename]]
. This makes it much easier to type on on-screen keyboards as the/
is readily available on most on-screen keyboards (both on tablets and phones, as well as on desktops). It has the added benefit of/
being a more common symbol to separate two things.
Wiki
- It is now possible to filter on formatted text fields in indices such as the people index, the locations index, etc. Previously this only worked for fields without formatting or links, but now it works on all formatting and links. This improves your ability to quickly get an overview of the people or locations you are looking for.
- Wanted pages with many links to them now show the first 12 and an "and N more..." link to show all the other pages. This makes the wanted pages list more useful if you have a few pages with many links pointing to them.
Bugs
- Fixed a bug that caused pages with
[show]
blocks that produced no results to crash. This has been fixed, and you now get a viewable page with a correct note about the lack of results.
- Fixed a bug that completely broke the editing of tags without the NPC special ability (but only for those players that can actually edit the tag special abilities, it worked fine for everyone else). This has been fixed, and you can now edit those tags and their tag special abilities once more.
- Fixed a bug where the campaign activity feed was viewable, while the campaign RSS feed was not, which prevented you from using an RSS reader for that activity feed. This has been corrected.
- Fixed a bug that, when editing wikipages moved from setting to rules or notes, caused an empty "This is also a" picker to show for pages that are a person, location, or faction. This has been fixed, and the empty picker is only shown if you can actually add anything to the page with it.
- Fixed a layout bug that caused Safari browsers to incorrectly display previews of long text areas. This has now been fixed, and the preview box will now correctly grow to contain the complete preview.
- Fixed minor bug that caused the breadcrumbs on "Access denied" and "Not logged in" pages to not link to that page in a useful manner. Now, you can click on the breadcrumb to reload the page.
