Work on D20 system support is ongoing. In the meantime, we finished up a set of visual updates and fixes, such as styling updates for campaign tiles in the campaign overview, on the landing page, and on account profile pages. Additionally, we made NPCs more versatile. Each NPC-enabled tag can now be configured to determine who can use the NPCs tagged with it. We will talk about this in a future blog post.
This week's blog post is about a topic that everyone will recognize in one form or the other: the distractions of a phone.
Campaign Overview
- The campaign tiles in the campaign overview now show the invite status of each campaign, making it clearer which campaigns require an invite, and which campaigns are open for anyone.
Wiki
- When you are linked to an incorrect wiki archive page you will now get a better error message, instead of being navigated away from the campaign. Note that RPGpad will never link you to a non-existent archive, but external links might, and this will make for a better experience if that happens.
Characters
- The "Make playable" button available during wiki page editing now only shows for pages in the Setting namespace. While RPGpad supports having playable characters in other namespaces, and will not prevent you from playing them if you move them there, this will help to keep character pages where they are most useful.
- The system now understand that you edited your character when you update both the wiki page and the character sheet at the same time, and will no longer show this as "edited a wiki page". If you edit only one (or the other), RPGpad will still pick up on that and display a more specific description.
- The submenu—the rightmost part of the menu bar where the context-related actions are shown—is now shown correctly for all character-related pages. This will help get a clearer idea of what you can do on any of these pages.
- The Non-Player Character tag ability can now be configured for each tag. Tags with this ability can now be set up to allow non-game master players to play as that NPC. This will help with creating public or shared NPCs.
Bugs
- Fixed RSS feeds to display correct description for opeartions on character sheets. This will make the RSS feed much more readable with regards to character sheets.
- Fixed broken formatting help link for the account profile text area, the link now correctly links you to the community campaign's help page.
