About us

RPGpad is a site to host your roleplaying games online, both to enhance your tabletop gaming experience and for online roleplay. Our team of two has a combined 40 years of experience in gaming, game design and software development, so we understand both what players and game-masters need and how to make it a reality.

What we have to offer:

RPGpad can offer you a home base for your game, and comes with many useful features:

• Forum: Each campaign comes with its own forum where you can communicate with other players, both for in character forum-based roleplay and for out of character discussion of rules, session planning and character proposals.
• Wiki: Each campaign comes with three interlinked wiki's to keep track of your game rules (including any homebrew options), your setting such as NPCs, factions, planets and more, and notes such as houserules that are currently under development or for players to keep logs.
• Chat: Each campaign comes with its own fully integrated chat specifically designed for online roleplay communities. The chat supports out of character and private conversations, posting as different characters for in character chat-based roleplay.
• Character Sheets: RPGpad offers advanced character sheets for several major game systems and we are always expanding the list. The character sheets are partially automatic using the game rules you've set, allowing for easy entry of new character sheets, and you can easily see what changes have been made
• Dice Rolling: The forum and chat offer support for online dice rolling. Your character's rolls are taken directly from your character sheet, allowing you to focus on playing instead of entering your rolls again and again.
• Game Rule Configuration: What version of your game are you using? In the game system configuration, you can configure different versions of the rules to suit your needs, add new character races, clans or classes and even activate certain specific houserules. • Theming: You can personalize your campaign with your own themes and background image - need help? We're happy to work with you on creating a unique theme!

Where we're heading:

Our platform is still in Open Beta at this time, and we are fixing bugs and adding new options and content regularly. Right now, we are working on the following:

• Polish: We are currently polishing up on some of our existing features, fixing bugs and adding convenience features. If you have any you would like to see, be sure to let us know in the forum.
• More Systems: We are expanding support to more systems, including different variations of World of Darkness and Fifth Edition. These are still under development at the moment, but be sure to let us know if there is a system you would like to see or a houserule you'd like to see support for
• Greater Automation: We are adding additional automation to character sheets in supported systems, using the "supporting, not prescribing" philosophy so you remain in full control.
