Changelog 2020-07-17

This week we finished up the autocomplete functionality and added autocomplete to a lot of places. We also worked on further improving Pathfinder game system support by upgrading the equipment listing.

This week's blog post elaborates on the Autocomplete feature!

Autocomplete

  • Added autocomplete for all tag fields. This improves the usability and usefulness of tag fields on wiki pages and forum threads, and helps keep the spelling of tags the same over multiple pages.
  • Added autocomplete for all link and reference fields. This greatly improves the usability of reference fields in wikipage custom data, it helps players to find the right pages to link to.
  • Added autocomplete to "Allowed player" fields in permission configurations on wiki pages, the Non-Player Character special tag ability, and the Character Sheet Administrators field in the campaign configuration.
  • Added autocomplete to the player ban and player remove forms. Though not often used, having autocomplete available makes the forms a little smoother to use.
  • Added autocomplete to the World of Darkness game system configuration for subtype favoured abilities and favoured powers, the initiative dice rule, and power categories.
  • Added autocomplete to the Pathfinder game system configuration for class skills and their specializations, and the class field for spellcasting advancement for a specific class.
  • Added autocomplete to the Pathfinder character sheet for the attack damage types, skills listing, and the equipment table.

Pathfinder

  • The Equipment notes are no longer shown unless there are actual notes. This keeps clutter off the character sheet and helps readability.
  • Added the Ability Score point-buy house rule, including a configurable amount of points if point-buy is in effect.
  • Equipment default values can now be configured in the game system configuration. Together with autocomplete, this makes entering equipment less of a hassle.
  • Equipment values on the character sheet are now autocompleted based on the equipment configured in the game system configuration.
  • Equipment can now be equipped, carried, or stored. Only equipped and carried items count towrads carrying capacity. This helps with the bookkeeping required to track how much your character is carrying around, and what impact this has on their speed.
  • Armour and Shields can now be configured in the game system configuration, which includes the varying armour statistics. This simplifies creating new characters, because the statistics are automatically used to autocomplete armour and shield equipment.
  • Armour and Shields can now be added and equipped, and are autocompleted based on the configured armours and shields in the game system configuration.
    • Note: These statistics are not yet taken into account during the calculations.

Fixed Bugs

  • Fixed a bug that caused the the Allowed players fields in the Non-Player Character tag special Ability to always start out disabled under certain circumstances. This has been fixed, and the allowed player entries are now correctly enabled as they should.
  • Fixed the Allowed players listing of permission configurations to add automatically add a new player entry upon pressing enter in the last entry. This pulls them in line with the other listings.
  • Fixed a bug that caused multiple items to be "picked up" when using drag and drop to move, for example, charm-like disciplines in a World of Darkenss campaign. This has been fixed and drag-and-droppable things inside the currently dragged item are no longer get the "picked up" visuals.
  • Fixed a bug in the Pathfinder system psionic power point calculation. This issue has been fixed, and the correct power point values should now be used.
  • Fixed a bug where freshly created Pathfinder campaigns could have -1 as the value for some spells-per-day and spells-known values. This has been fixed.
  • Fixed a layout bug that caused the columns of the spellcasting information in the Pathfinder game system configuration to not appear side by side. This has been fixed, and the columns are now laid out correctly again.
