Changelog 2019-03-15

This week we started work on an exciting new way to customize your campaign: tag special abilities. A tag special ability gives a tag special powers and meaning when it is used. I'll elaborate in next week's blog, as this week's blog post is about player account profiles.

We also squashed several bugs that were discovered by players on RPGpad! I'd like to thank each and everyone for helping out! if you find a bug, or feel something is missing or wrong, please let us know in the forum or file a bug report!

Tags

  • Operators can now put a special "Character Creation Information" ability on a tag. This means that anything tagged with that tag is related to character creation, and links to it will be shown in relevant places.
  • Tags with special abilities can still have their text edited by anyone, but they can only be removed by operators.

Forum

  • Thread headers now have the same layout as wiki page headers, with tags on the right side. This makes it easier to quickly get the information you want from the page, since it is in the same place. The link to the last post has been made into an action button called "Last post".

Characters

  • The bottom of the character pages now show the action buttons, such as edit and versions, for the character. This makes it easier to edit the character sheet after reviewing the character sheet.
  • The information about who and when the last character page was edited is moved to the bottom.
  • Character creation information links are now show in the characters overview based on threads and wiki pages that are tagged with the new "Character Creation Information" tag special ability.

Bugs

  • Tables in formatted text required at least a space as content to be recoginzed. This is fixed to correctly recoginze table cells without any spaces in them as empty cells.
  • Wikipages no longer erroneously show the "No tags" marker when there are tags present for the page.
  • The formatted text parser no longer removes any text after an unclosed columns section. This makes sure that, if you forget to close the columns section, the text you have worked on does not get destroyed. The text will look very strange until you fix it, but your hard work is safe.
  • The formatted text parser no accepts both slashes and backslashes to close section tags. For example, both [/cols] and [\cols] are understood now.
  • For a short while, the forum overview provided the wrong information for the most recent post. This is fixed so the forum overview now correctly reports the most recent post for each forum.
